The next meeting of the Ladies Guild will be on May 9th at 1:00 P.M. in the Church community room. Please join us for refreshments and a gathering of friendship.
The Ladies Guild is a spirit-based ministry whose mission is to promote the spiritual, social and communal welfare of our parish. We sponsor several activities each year. These include collecting and distributing Christmas gifts for the retired nuns of local convents; holding an annual Rummage Sale in the autumn, the proceeds of which go to St. Aedan; hosting receptions after the two Confirmation Masses with the Bishop for the newly confirmed and their families and guests and performing other special parish functions upon request.
Our ministry is open to all women of the parish. We have four meetings a year and meet in the Church Community room. We share an annual social event including a Mass and breakfast with the Ladies Guild of St. Catharine’s in Blauvelt. All the women of St. Aedan’s are invited to attend this breakfast.
For further information, or to become a member of the Ladies Guild, you may contact Pat Dudek at (845) 623-4407.
LADIES GUILD GIFTS FOR RETIRED RELIGIOUS
The Guild is collecting gifts for the Retired Religious Sisters of St. Dominic, Sparkill, Dominican Sisters of Blauvelt and the Sisters of Charity in Nanuet.
Our goal is to give a few gifts to every sister, such as skin lotion (Vaseline Intense Care), toothpaste/mouthwash, writing paper, stamps, Dove soap, white tube socks and articles appropriate for an elderly person. (NO Perfumes.) Gifts should be unwrapped. Thank you for your generosity.
ALSO: Come join in the merriment as we wrap the gifts that will be given to our local retired nuns. Our wrapping party will be held on Tuesday, December 17th at 1pm in the Parish Meeting Room. Bring scissors & tape. We will provide the paper and refreshments.
