The Hospitality Committee is a community-based ministry whose purpose is to provide fellowship and a sense of parish community, by providing refreshments after parish activities. We offer refreshments after many events during the year, including the 9/11 Memorial Mass, Parish Anointing Masses, Ministry Fair, All Soul’s Day Mass, Thanksgiving Sharing Table, Christmas Tree Lighting, Parish Concert, Confirmation, First Communion, the 25th and 50th Anniversary Masses and other parish events. This year, we have assisted with the Lenten Pasta with the Parish dinners.
Our members enjoy baking, socializing, shopping, serving and sampling the menus. The parish meeting room, or gym, is used for hosted events. The facilitator emails the committee as events are planned, and members respond as to which dates they are available and which tasks they would like to do. We then shop for refreshments, set up the tables and room, serve and clean up after the event, and enjoy socializing with our parishioners.
We are open to assisting with other parish events. If you would like further information about this ministry, you may contact Marie Maher at [email protected].
