Dear friends/amigos,
As you know many of us in the archdiocese have suffered loss of family members, friends, employment, and even loss of hope. Undoubtedly, it is in times like this, when we most need healing, that our Lord is most present to us.
[Como sabe, muchos de nosotros en la arquidiócesis hemos sufrido la pérdida de familiares, amigos, empleos e incluso pérdida de esperanza. Sin duda, es en momentos como este, cuando más necesitamos sanación, que nuestro Señor está más presente entre nosotros.}
The Office of Adult Faith Formation, in collaboration with the American Bible Society and the Trauma Healing Institute will be hosting "Beyond Trauma" a workshop focused on the healing process we need during this time. This is a great opportunity to respond to the needs of our families and communities, especially to those we serve in parish ministry who have also suffered great loss, and as well as our own personal healing.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday August 25th at 1:30pm in English and at 7pm in Spanish. For more information and to register please click here.
We hope you will join us.
God's peace and blessings,
The Adult Faith Formation Office

Friends,
The Church needs to draw upon its great theological heritage in order to renew its hope in Christ. In my brand-new book, Renewing Our Hope: Essays for the New Evangelization, I trace this renewal through four stages: "Renewing Our Mission," "Renewing Our Minds," "Renewing the Church," and finally, "Renewing Our Culture." My hope is that you will read this collection and reflect upon what you can contribute to the renewal of our great Catholic heritage in today's society. Read the foreword by Archbishop Christophe Pierre, the US Papal Nuncio, at https://bishopbarronbooks.com/renew. Peace, |
